Terms of Service
Last updated: August 15, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the koko VR Theater application (the “App”), the koko Companion PC application, and this website, all provided by Krafti SASU, a Société par actions simplifiée unipersonnelle (SASU) registered in France (RCS Paris 852 598 572), 75 rue Manin, 75019 Paris, France. Your use of the App is also governed by the End User License Agreement and the Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
What koko is
koko is a media player and library tool for content you already own or are authorised to access. It does not provide media content. You are responsible for the legality of the content you access through it, as described in the EULA. koko Companion is a free utility that shares folders from your own computer to your own headset over your local network.
How koko is sold
The build sold on this site is the sideloaded build: it is not distributed through the Meta Horizon Store and is installed on your headset by you. It is sold by Krafti for €14.99 / $14.99 including any applicable VAT, which is calculated at checkout from your billing country. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never receive your card details.
koko is also published on the Meta Horizon Store as a separate distribution. That version is free to try with a one-time in-app purchase, and on that path Meta is the seller of record: billing, invoicing and refunds are handled by Meta under its store terms, and refunds are requested from your Meta account’s purchase history. Krafti does not process those payments, and the sections below do not apply to them.
Direct purchases: what you get and when
A direct purchase is a one-time payment for a perpetual licence to the full build, as described in the EULA. It is not a subscription and it does not renew.
Delivery is immediate and electronic: as soon as your payment succeeds, your activation code is shown on the confirmation page and emailed to the address you gave at checkout, together with the download link. If the email does not arrive, contact support@krafti.io and we will re-send it. Updates to the full build are included at no extra cost for as long as we publish them.
The full build is distributed by sideloading and requires a supported Meta Quest headset. We do not guarantee compatibility with every device, server, codec, or file. If you are unsure whether koko will work for your setup, try the free version, or ask us before buying.
Licence activation and the device limit
One purchase may be activated on up to 5 headsets and 5 PCs, counted separately — the desktop companion activates with the same code, and does not take a headset slot. Activation is an online step in which the App exchanges your code for your licence key; after that the licence works offline. Reinstalling on a device you have already activated does not consume another slot.
If you change headsets or reach the limit, you can clear your activated devices yourself at koko-sideload.krafti.io/reset using your code and your purchase email, then activate again. Attempting to circumvent this limit, or sharing, publishing, or reselling your code or licence key, is a breach of these Terms and of the EULA.
Your right to withdraw, and our refund guarantee
Statutory right of withdrawal. As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. Because koko is digital content delivered immediately, this right is lost once delivery has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose it. Checkout states this directly above the payment button: by paying, you ask for immediate access to your licence and accept that the withdrawal right no longer applies. If you would rather keep the statutory right, do not complete the purchase; contact us instead and we will arrange delivery after the withdrawal period.
Our voluntary guarantee. Independently of the above, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on direct purchases: if koko does not work for you, email support@krafti.io within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full, no argument. We ask that you tell us what went wrong (usually we can fix it), and your licence stops being valid for new activations once the refund is issued. We may decline repeat refunds on the same purchase or refuse the guarantee where it is being used abusively.
Nothing here limits your rights under French consumer law, including the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L.217-3 and following of the Code de la consommation).
Acceptable use
You agree to use the App and website lawfully and not to misuse them, interfere with their operation, attempt to access them in unauthorised ways, or interfere with the licensing, activation, or update mechanisms.
Availability and changes to the service
The online parts of koko (activation, device reset, update checks, Watch Together signaling) are provided on a best-effort basis and may be interrupted for maintenance or changed over time. Your licence is verified offline on your device, so an outage does not stop koko you have already activated from working. We may add, change, or remove features of the App; if we discontinue an online service entirely we will give reasonable notice on this site where we can.
Third-party services and trademarks
koko interoperates with third-party services and software, including Plex and Jellyfin, and runs on Meta Quest hardware. Those names are trademarks of their respective owners; Krafti is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The App and website are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and Krafti’s liability is limited as set out in the EULA, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live. If something goes wrong, write to us first at support@krafti.io — we would much rather fix it than argue about it. Failing that, you keep every right you have under the consumer law of the country where you live, including the right to bring the dispute before the courts that have jurisdiction there.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the App and website evolve; material changes will be posted here with a new date. The version in force is the one published when you make your purchase.
